Globaltic Brazilian Eucalyptus Charcoal Test

The same as the other charcoal tests that I have done for a bit of fun and to offer some insights into different charcoals. I fill the same starter chimney with charcoal, weigh it, light it, and then the flames reach near the top and enter the gateway Drum Smoker. The Flame Boss 500 maintains the set temperature at 230°F, and we can see how hard the fan has to work to do so. We can see the temperature fluctuations measured by the Flame Boss and compare them to the readings from the TermaQ, a calibrated thermometer.

Description

Sourced from sustainably managed eucalyptus plantations in Brazil, this charcoal is produced using traditional carbonisation techniques that lock in high heat performance while minimising smoke and ash. The dense, hardwood composition ensures a long-lasting burn—perfect for slow-cooking meats, searing steaks, or smoking with precision.
